Nick started his design/marketing career as a private consultant, helping dozens of small, disadvantaged companies identify and pursue contracting opportunities within various Federal agencies. An exceptional communicator, he then served as lead strategist, marketer, and designer for numerous campaigns. Among his design credits were Metrobus/Metrorail displays and dioramas including the highly praised African American Civil War Memorial, plus event displays, promotional packages, media kits, brochures, and client capability statements.
Nick eventually moved on to Phillips Publishing where his instinctive marketing abilities and keen eye for effective direct response design were widely utilized. He managed the ongoing design, scheduling and production of all five company catalogs — winning a 2002 MAXI award for "Catalog Response." He likewise developed successful direct mail packages which include 8 strong controls in the past 2 years, space ads, event displays, newsletter designs, and product packaging as well as distinctive brand identity for several franchises within the Phillips organization.
Currently he is putting his multiple talents and proven creativity to work for various clients as a Freelance Designer and Marketing Consultant. His recent work includes DM packages written by top writers like Arthur Johnson for health newsletter mailers, and fund-raising component packages for Women To the World.
